Even though my appointment in was in July I am still traumatized by Dr. Tankersley. I would NOT recommend coming for a tooth pulling because he is very unemphatic and unsympathetic. I had a molar that was cracked in half and required extraction otherwise I would have an infection. The staff and assistants were exceptional and very nice. During the procedure, Dr. Tankersley gave me local anesthesia and proceeded with the procedure. As he was pulling my tooth I was visibly in discomfort and started yelping in pain with tears running down my face as it was painful pressure and very overwhelming with Dr Tankersley pulling my tooth and assistants poking and prodding with the water pick to drain the excess saliva. In the midst of this, Dr. Tankersley says repeatedly, β Quiet down you are scaring off the patients in the waiting room.β Mind you I was the last appointment of the day as my appointment was at 4. He was grunting in irritation as he was extraction simply because I was in discomfort and pain. He only cared about the other patients and their opinions rather than the patient in his chair. Shame on Kenneth Tankersley for not acknowledging his patients feelings and not taking their

Dont do this to you, when you dont want to end up in a horror story. First....check with your insurance, if all is correct, in my case it was not! Call your insurance. I can understand when they want you to pay out of pocket, because they earn way more as they would get from insurance....come on...then dont accept no insurance. On top of this.... mostly nobody answers the phone. I was there today because there was (what i thought) a misunderstanding of my treatment. I asked if can talk to somebody about my treatment and i got told that i can do it at the front counter, as i asked for privacy, Emma told me it is not possible in this office to talk in private. I was shocked but.....i asked her some questions and as i dont agreed to her answers, she told me she dont like it when i go in her face. What?? How shall i do this over the counter?. And by the way...why i should come near to nasty people? Then she let me see the office manager, but at this time i was already done with the office. As patient you shouldnt feel threatened at a doctors office. Shame on you....When you have insurance and need a correct pre authorization stay away. BTW. I never would complain about Dr. Tankersley

Dr. T is an EXCELLENT oral surgeon. Great staff/assistants! Several visits for extractions, bone graphs, and implants. All without a hitch or glitch. Didn't even need to use the pain meds prescribed. Medicare, not problem... insurance, no problem. Highly recommend.

I was referred to Dr Tankersley by my dentist. I called to set up my appointment however, no one answeredthe phone, I had to leave a voice-mail. When she finally called back, I asked my questions and then said I would call have to call back since Iwas at work. When I did called back again I had to leave a voice-mail. I have an office job and I have customers as well. So when she finally called I couldn't answer my phone. We played phone tag for a couple of days. I finally just gave up and called a different Oral Surgeon. When I called the other Oral Surgeon's office, a person did answer the phone answered my questions and was extremely helpful!. Now I have an appointment with a different Surgeon!

Dr. Tankersley removed one of my wisdom teeth today. It wasn't impacted so in my case it was a straightforward procedure. He did such great job and the extraction was done in a matter of minutes. I felt no fear during the procedure as I was mesmerized by how swiftly he was changing between small and big forceps to take the tooth out in one piece (which he did) π Great job, Dr. Tankersley!
